• Continuing role with a base salary of $75K plus 9.5% super

This role is responsible for assisting the Business Manager with the financial operations of the Seymour Centre including but not limited to venue hire contracts and invoices, reconciliation of banks accounts, preparation of bank transfers and management of the overtime and casual timesheet entry approval process. The position undertakes general administration duties and management support to the Business Manager as well as maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• reconciles the bank account for box office funds held in trust by the Seymour Centre, and checks box office financial documentation to ensure cumulative ticket sales income is accurately recorded
• approves casual timesheets fortnightly according to the conditions of the Live Performance Award
• assists Business Manager with accounts payable and receivable processes including submission of new customer, bill and purchase order requests, overseeing supplier invoice processing and debt collection
• assists Business Manager when dealing with clients in relation to venue hire invoices and box office settlements
• works collaboratively with the Business Manager to continually improve processes and documentation relating to the financial operations and reporting of the Seymour Centre
• has a passion for supporting the arts

Centre Overview:
The Seymour Centre is located in the heart of the University of Sydney. Now in its 41st year, the Seymour Centre champions cultural exploration, arts education and audience engagement. It presents a diverse range of the best of contemporary performing arts; hosts major festivals, presents large scale theatre productions and partners with small and emerging companies to develop and present innovative independent performances.

Seymour Centre staff are employed under the Live Performance Award conditions that include employer Superannuation Guarantee Contribution of 9.5%
