THE OPPORTUNITY
An excellent opportunity awaits a new OSHC Assistant who is seeking consistent shifts in a constructive fun filled environment. This position will be based at our service in Bridgewater to support the Coordinator and ensure all children are having a great time! We run an inclusive program that engages their interests and we encourage your involvement too. This is a Monday to Friday position requiring a daily commitment. DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Supervision of children ensuring safety and enjoyment in the program
- Participation in our amazing activities
- Knowledge and demonstration of Camp Australia policies and procedures
- Safe practice of food handling and hygiene
- Building positive relationships with the children, parents and school
REQUIREMENTS:
- Availability for all shifts in the Before and After School Care program, Monday to Friday. These positions will be based in an ongoing roster within an OSHC program, but also support nearby services if required.
- Hold a Diploma in Child Education and Care or equivalent. Equivalent can include (but not limited to) education, teaching, social work, social science, youth work and community services
Hold or be willing to obtain the below:
- Certificate in Responding to Abuse and Neglect, Education and Care
- Department of Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Check and Catholic Police Check
- First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management (HTAID004)
