About the job
The Manager, Professional Placements acts as an ambassador for the University, initiating, securing and developing Work Integrated Learning (WIL) relationships in collaboration with faculties, centres and corporate services areas.

Under the direction of the Senior Relationship Manager, the Manager, Professional Placements manages Work Integrated Learning programs and contributes to Swinburne’s objective to be the partner of choice for the industries and communities we serve and to actively contribute to Swinburne’s employability agenda.

The Manager contributes to the development of initiatives aimed at establishing, maintaining and growing relationships with the University’s Work Integrated Learning partners. The incumbent will work with staff across the University and facilitate internal networks to build, promote and manage these relationships.

The Manager will also play an active role in the marketing of opportunities to prospective students and will have oversight of the relevant placement processes in conjunction with the Operations Team.

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Demonstrated experience in the tertiary education environment with particular emphasis on Work Integrated Learning
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships
• Ability to professionally match the needs of the University, its students and the interests of its external partners in the context of Work Integrated Learning
