THE OPPORTUNITY
Our medium sized service is now adding to their team! This well-structured program offers a great variety of activities to a fantastic group of kids. We follow the children’s lead which brings something new every day, you could find yourself active playing sport to enjoying fun creative play. Your Assistant role will support the Coordinator and assist in safe facilitation of the program. We will give you all the tools for success with our comprehensive onboarding and training. DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Supervision of children ensuring safety and enjoyment in the program
- Participation in our amazing activities
- Knowledge and demonstration of Camp Australia policies and procedures
- Safe practice of food handling and hygiene
- Building positive relationships with the children, parents and school
REQUIREMENTS:
- Availability for all shifts in the After School Care program, Monday to Friday. These positions will be based in an ongoing roster within an OSHC program, but also support nearby services if required.
- Hold a Diploma in Child Education and Care or equivalent. Equivalent can include (but not limited to) education, teaching, social work, social science, youth work and community services
Hold or be willing to obtain the below:
- Certificate in Responding to Abuse and Neglect, Education and Care
- Department of Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Check and Catholic Police Check
- First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management (HTAID004)
