The Role and Your Responsibilities

The Professor will lead the next phase of the School’s research and teaching activities in Additive Manufacturing. RMIT has made a $30M investment into its Advanced Manufacturing Precinct with state of the art facilities with $4-5M in annual research income in Additive Manufacturing and related activities. There is a particular focus on the biomedical, defence, and aerospace sectors. The Professor will build collaboration and innovation initiatives that make a real difference to our community and the broader world. The Professor will also participate in the academic activities of the School and pursue a program of professional development consistent with the strategic goals of the School and more broadly the College and University.

Skills and Experience Required

You will possess a distinguished record of academic achievement in engineering with particular focus on additive manufacturing with demonstrated innovation in Additive Manufacturing thought research leadership at national and international level. Your proven ability to attract competitive research grants and/or industry alliances and funding with a track record of success in manufacturing and materials engineering or engineering design related to additive manufacturing and an extensive publication track record in high impact journals in the research field relevant to the position will be essential to your success in this role.
