  • Salary range (Level A): $68,452 to $92,497 plus 17% superannuation
  • Salary range (Level B): $97,310 to $115,350 plus 17% superannuation

About the Centre: The WA Centre for Rural Health (WACRH) aims to improve rural, remote and Aboriginal health through research, education, student support and community service activities. WACRH’s work covers a large and varied part of the state and the Centre enjoys excellent relationships with health care providers, communities and universities. The collegial, multidisciplinary team of academics and support staff implement a dynamic program addressing key rural, remote and Aboriginal health issues. The appointee will be a valuable member of this team providing leadership in the development of Social Work related placements and the clinical supervision of these students in varied settings along with interprofessional support and education delivery across the wider WACRH program.

About the opportunity: Under the direction of the Associate Professor in Rural Health, you will participate in the development of innovative professional practice programs for students in their own profession, and in interprofessional practice opportunities. This will include clinical supervision and evaluation of undergraduate, graduate entry, and postgraduate Social Work students as well as support for project based placements. You will also collaborate with the WACRH team in Geraldton through their role with student placement administration and liaise with key stakeholders including local health service providers, community groups and relevant universities. In addition, you will contribute to the evaluation of the student placement program, students’ work readiness for rural practice and graduate employment destination, together with other teaching, research and evaluation activities as directed.
