About our Business
Penola Casa - "mi casa, su casa - our home is your home" - is a new family established centre opened in July 2018 linked to Mollys House at Kedron, which has been in operation since 2007. Originally a nursing home for the Sisters Of St Joseph and in keeping with the Reggio approach maintains the original footprint of the building. We have created an innovative and unique environment for children from 0 - 5 years to play in a large free flowing environment which offers a community piazza, art, media and light atelier "nest" space and kitchen.
About the Role/s
We are searching for a Lead Educator or TEACHER who will be interacting with children from all ages but focused on ages between 2.5 - 3.5 years old as we grow quickly since opening on the 16th July.. The role will involve leading a team of diverse educators, meeting and settling new children into the centre and fostering a family feel.
QUALIFIED FLOAT EDUCATOR
We are also searching for a bubbly, resourceful and adaptive Educator to work across the entire centre 15-30 hours per week
TRAINEE EDUCATOR
We are looking for a keen, genuine and capable person ready to put their hand to early childhood across any age
Skills & Experience
- Relevant ACECQA approved qualifications to the position
- Minimum Cert III AND Studying or COMPLETED Diploma In Children Services with a minimum of 3 years experience as a Lead Educator or RELEVANT Teacher Qualifications (not Trainees)
- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training
- Current Working with Children Check
- Excellent Spoken and Written English
- Minimum 3 years working with children
- Current working knowledge of NQF and EYLF
- Food Safety - online (iamalert.com)
