About the business

Prom Coast Centres for Children is a 65 place, community managed Long Day Care Centre based in Foster, in the beautiful Prom Coast region. Servicing local rural families, the Centre is expanding its range of programs to meet growing demand for services to meet our families needs.

 

 

About the role

We are seeking experienced Diploma and Cert III educators to fill upcoming vacancies.

Educators will be required to be active in the planning, organisation, implementation and critical reflection of our educational programs in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework in conjunction with and under the guidance of the Program Leader.

In addition to daily care tasks, educators will be required to assist with written developmental records, write up incidents and accidents as per regulations and have input into Centre policies and practices and participate in the energetic life of the Centre.

Educators will be responsible for implementing a program that is responsive to children needs, interests and abilities.  A holistic approach to program planning which values diverse learning experiences and embraces individual learning styles is essential.

Skills and experience

  • Working knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations the NQS and their role as a member of the early childhood education team in working toward achievement of the standards
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning and Development Frameworks that is applied with the Kindergarten Program.
  • Demonstrated experience in the education and care of children
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with both children and adults
  • The ability to work cooperatively and flexible within a self-managing team environment
  • Knowledge of child protection procedures
  • Well-developed organisational skills
