The position
 
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a positive difference to the health of Australians? Are you a proven Instructional Designer or Medical Writer with exposure across either health, science or education?  Here’s your opportunity to make your mark joining our supportive Education Development team.
 
As an Instructional Designer you will provide first-class, evidence-based online activities and resources that will benefit our 38,000 Australian members. You will play an integral role in the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of learning outcomes applied to a diverse range of general practice topics.
 
Some of your responsibilities will include:
 
  • Working closely with subject matter experts and GP reviewers to analyse needs of individuals and groups and identify areas for the development of appropriate learning resources
  • Creating frameworks, manuscripts and storyboards to maximise the educational experience of online activities
  • Working with multimedia designers and programmers to bring your designs to life
  • Using evaluation data and stakeholder feedback to improve the quality of online resources
  • Reviewing educational activities to ensure content is current and relevant
 
 
The candidate
 
With a strong background in developing engaging online learning activities, you will pride yourself on your high level writing skills. Your expert eye for detail and commitment to producing consistently high quality work will make you stand out from others.
 
To be successful in this role you will also be able to demonstrate the following:
 
  • Demonstrated experience planning, organising and establishing priorities, with a record of meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated internal and external stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience proofreading and editing
  • High level computer literacy and readiness to develop and upgrade knowledge and skills in authoring and development software
