As one of the largest employers in Western Sydney for OSHC, we are currently seeking an experienced Inclusion Support Assistant to works under the supervision of the Centre Coordinator to support children with high additional needs, manage the personal care required for the children, and support each child’s inclusion within the Centre, your previous experience within a similar role combined with a strong understanding of the NQF will see you develop and educate a fun and exciting faith centred environment for the children.

Your excellent organizational and time management skills will be put to good use in this rewarding and challenging role.

Your Role:

• Supporting and being responsible for the physical assistance and/or personal care
• Implementing specific adjustments in accordance with the Organization/OSHC Personalised Plan
• Supervising at all times the children including excursions if applicable
• Developing a relationship with the child and parents to provide holistic support
• Working in collaboration with the OSHC Centre Coordinator and staff in the implementation of specific program activities
• Undertaking any professional development/training that may be required
• Assisting in the development of other OSHC staff to support children with additional needs

Requirements:

• Diplomas or Certificate is a minimum requirement in relevant fields of study
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children with high additional needs or disability
• Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
• A current working with Children Check 
• A current First Aid Certificate and Emergency Management of Asthma and Anaphylaxis
• 2 x checkable work references from previous Supervisors (ready for us to call)
