Liverpool Clinical School
Full-Time, Fixed Term for 12 months

Western Sydney University has a vibrant and dynamic research culture with multidisciplinary research undertaken across a diverse range of areas. The University fosters excellence in training of future research leaders in cutting edge technologies and methods. 

We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow who will work collaboratively with the Director, Centre for Applied Nursing Research (CANR) and the SWSLHD to undertake research and projects with a focus on aged care to build a sustainable and capable programme of research. The successful applicant will be expected to support the research efforts of the Centre through successful applications for competitive grants and other sources of funding. The person in this position will be responsible for liaising with SWSLHD staff, academic and industry partners, health professionals and publishing in high quality journals. In addition, the appointed person will develop their research career pathway, supervise higher degree research students, organise and may chair research discussion groups and journal clubs and may have financial management of research funds and manage research support staff involved in the conduct of research. The position may undertake limited teaching duties. A Level B academic is expected to carry out independent or team-based research in their discipline area, publish quality papers in refereed journals, conduct and supervise funded research projects, and seek and obtain funding from Australian Competitive Grants, industry or government sources. 

The position will be located within the Ingham Institute at Liverpool and is a 12 month fixed term appointment working 5 days a week (35 hours).

Remuneration Package: Academic Level B Salary $99,777 to $117,818 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
