About the opportunity

We have several opportunities available for Admissions Officers to join our Admissions team and ensure the effective, accurate and timely recruitment and admission of students to the University. Reporting to the Admissions Manager you will:

  • independently consider and assess applications for admission to the University in accordance with university guidelines, policies and delegated authorities
  • delivers daily administration activities and services ensuring that high quality and efficient administrative support is provided in a pro-active manner to staff, students and agents.
  • provide a high level of customer service, advice and assistance utilising knowledge of, and in accordance with, University guidelines, policies and procedures in response to enquiries and issues from applicants and agents via: telephone and written (email, mail) enquiries relating to admission requirements, application status, visas and a range of associated matters from students, Agents and Faculty/Staff; and the Admissions Officer will then provide follow up advice if required via liaison with Team Leader or Manager
  • identify, recommend and contribute to the development of improvements to admissions policies.
 

About you

  • experience in the interpretation of and contribution to administrative policies and procedures relating to admissions
  • experience in the implementation of business processes improvements
  • experience working with complex admissions administrative systems and databases
  • experience delivering a high-level of customer service and making students, staff and key contacts and their needs a priority
  • knowledge of university policies, systems, processes and procedures and how to adapt these at the faculty and University-wide level.
 
Some restrictions on annual leave may be applied during peak demand periods in the University’s recruitment and admissions calendar.
