Gowrie SA is seeking a highly experienced early childhood teacher to fulfil a unique role within our organisation. This full-time position offers diversity with teaching in an integrated kindergarten environment 25 hours per week and supporting leadership in the children’s program as the Assistant Children’s Program Leader at Thebarton for 15 hours per week. The position will be an initial three year contract with a view to permanency. Salary will be aligned with the SA School and Preschool Education Staff Enterprise Agreement with six weeks of annual leave per year.
The successful applicant will:
- be teaching at a minimum of a proficient level as per the AITSL standards
- demonstrate experience with teaching in a kindergarten setting
- have extensive experience in pedagogical leadership across a birth to school-aged setting
- demonstrate strong knowledge of the NQF and EYLF
- demonstrate strong knowledge of contemporary early childhood practices, research and pedagogy
- have a systematic approach to improving practice and outcomes
- have a proven track record of leading and working within a variety of teams
- work collaboratively with the Children’s Program Leader and other teachers to maintain high quality children’s programs
- hold a minimum four year Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education
- be a registered teacher
