About the job
The Clinical Research Interviewer position will specifically be involved in working on an exciting, international research program funded by the NHMRC. The ORBIT (Online, Recovery-focused, and Bipolar Individual Therapy) research program will investigate an online intervention for Bipolar Disorder designed to improve quality of life. The role will include performing structured clinical interviews over the phone and facilitating participant engagement with the project. The role is within Swinburne’s Centre for Mental Health reporting to ORBIT Project Manager, Fiona Foley and working with a team of bipolar experts from around the world.

The position involves conducting structured clinical interviews over the phone with research participants who experience bipolar disorder from around the world. These interviews occur at various times across the research period to monitor change in participants as a result of their use of the online resources. Other key tasks involve facilitation of participant engagement with the project.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
  • Completion of Honours in psychology (or equivalent qualifications or experience in research, evaluation or mental health)
  • Knowledge of Bipolar Disorder
  • A high degree of organisation and administrative skills and capacity to prioritise workload and coordinate multiple demands
