About the opportunity 


 

The Education Support Officer (ESO) provides a broad range of education support to teaching staff and students in designated Professional Medical Education (PME) programs.

Reporting to the Education Development Manager you will:

  • Provide advice and support to teaching staff and students to meet their educational requirements.
  • Manage the development, publication and ongoing maintenance of educational content in the Canvas Learning Management system.
  • Assist with the development of learning materials eg recording and editing lectures and podcasts
  • Manage the delivery of units of study according to PME and University policies and procedures, including implementation of the PME Student Retention Program.
  • Coordinate the production of online examination papers and assist with delivery of online exams.

  • relevant tertiary qualifications and work experience
  • experience with providing support for education programs in a tertiary education environment, preferably including online programs
  • excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes
  • strong problem solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and resolve issues that arise as part of normal daily workeffective communication skills (both verbal and written) including well developed negotiation and relationship building skills
  • experience with using Learning Management Systems, preferably including Canvas, in a tertiary education environment
  • knowledge of policies and administrative processes within a tertiary education environment.
