Our parent-managed centre is unique with a wide range of natural resources, inviting play spaces and beautiful large outdoor areas. We care for and educate 71 children per day across 5 large rooms; Babies to 4 year old Kindergarten.
Our team of educators are experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their chosen field of Early Childhood Education. We require a leader who will foster individual staff development and inspire the team to continue to meet centre goals and milestones.
We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator for an Assistant Director Position. This is a Maternity Leave Position with Full-Time hours, consisting of 5 full days per week in the office. The position is for 8 months from the beginning of September 2018, until the beginning of May 2019. This is a fabulous role if you are looking to gain experience and further your career in early childhood management.
This role works closely with the Director and the Parent Committee in the management of the service. The successful applicant will be seen as a leader within the service, able to understand and implement our Centre Philosophy, policies and procedures with passion and wisdom. Applicants will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be required to assist in the administration of the service. Sound knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, Education and Care Services National Law and National Quality Framework, will be called upon regularly in this role.
The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of child development and the important skills required to work collaboratively with families in providing the highest quality care to their young children. We have high expectations in regards to the relationships that are formed between the children, families and centre management of our service. We believe that these collaborative relationships form the basis of a high quality childcare centre and kindergarten.

We require applicants to have the following;
- Minimum Qualification of Diploma in Children's Services
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Anaphylaxis Management, First Aid and Asthma training
- Child Protection training
- Food Safety training (preferred)
- Knowledge of QikKids Software (preferred)
- Previous experience in a leadership role (preferred)
