About the role 

  • Level 6 - $83,653 pa (+17% Superannuation and annual leave loading)
  • 3-year fixed term
  • Full-time

Due to growth UNSW has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Officer, Biogeochemistry. UNSW has multiple laboratories that you will work across. You will ensure the maintenance of the laboratories and the equipment whilst making sure the laboratories and activities adhere to WHS and best practice. Another part of your role will be to assist students in their research/experiments by training and assisting them with equipment.

UNSW will provide extensive in-house training to assist you in your work and support your professional development. This is an excellent opportunity to join the University in a time of growth.

 

About the successful applicant

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in biogeochemistry, chemistry or water quality engineering laboratories.
  • Experience working in a large organisation with stringent governance and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of WHS and regulations.
  • A current and valid driver’s licence.
  • An undergraduate degree or relevant experience in Water Engineering or related discipline
