About the role
The Early Childhood Educator (Diploma) will provide early childhood care and education for children and is responsible to the Director for co-ordination of all aspects of the operation of a room. This includes the planning, implementation and assessment of the program. The successful person is responsible for providing a program that focuses on the skills and interests of children in their group, in line with the Centre’s philosophy and culture, and ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming’ (the national Early Years Learning Framework), and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
The position is three days per week (Mon, Tue, Wed), fixed term until July 2019.
About you
- Approved Diploma level qualification in Children’s Services or approved equivalent qualification, with relevant experience in long day care or other early childhood settings
- Ability to establish and maintain warm, respectful, and reciprocal relationships with children to enable them to feel secure and confident in the learning environment.
- Thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to provide feedback to families and colleagues
- Proven ability to thrive in a changing and fast paced environment
Salary: $63,707 - $67,613 p.a. plus 9.5% superannuation
