The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University’s strategies related to RMIT’s academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.

The Role & Your Responsibilities

The Admissions Officer is responsible for providing accurate and timely advice on admissions processes and activities to internal and external customers. In addition, you will provide high level administrative and operational support for key activities including the collection, recording and maintenance of offered programs for each Admissions period, and the management of the communication and correspondence with applicants. You will also be responsible for assessing RMIT equity applications and the processing of credit transfers.

Skills & Experience Required

As the successful candidate you will have experience and expertise in the provision of high quality administration services, including a sound knowledge of relevant policies and procedures or the ability to learn and apply policy and procedure requirements. You will also demonstrate the ability to respond appropriately to sensitive information and situations. Excellent communication skills, including skills in persuasion, information exchange, gaining assistance and in perceptively assisting staff to manage workloads, timeline and relationships will be imperative to your success.
