About the Role
The Application Portfolio Manager, Student Administration and Services is responsible for the planning and delivery of technical services for a broad portfolio of applications critical to the core business of the university. This position works collaboratively with the Student Administration and Student Services Directors and their teams to prioritise the business as usual and project based work across the business units. The Application Portfolio Manager, Student Administration and Services is required to engage with key suppliers to ensure effective service delivery and compliance with contracts, as well as managing budgets and monitoring progress against service delivery and project targets. In addition, it is required to manage all relevant software licensing in accordance with University standards and policies

About the Person
To be successful in this position you will have strong staff management and leadership skills, with the ability to make clear decisions in terms of prioritising work and resource allocation utilising clear judgement and displaying an understanding of the broader impacts of these decisions. Your ability to deal with sensitive and complex issues in a professional manner will be beneficial to your application, as well as being able to effectively communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation, and with external providers. Contract negotiation and vendor management will come naturally to you and you will have experience with effective selection and implementation of software solutions.

Duties
An example of duties you may perform will include:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the Application Portfolio planning function
  • Proactively build relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Ensure compliance with ITS Program Management Office requirements for quality assurance policies and procedures, and other relevant legislative and policy requirements
