Dance Trainer & Assessors Wanted - Opportunity in Sydney

The Australian Learning Group is seeking highly motivated Dance Trainer and Assessors to drive and inspire students towards a successful career in the Dance Industry in a classroom and studio setting.
We are looking for passionate classroom teachers for our Certificate III in Assistant Dance Teaching and Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management Qualifications. Click here to learn more about our courses.
The purpose of this role is to:
- Deliver Certificate III in Assistant Dance Teaching and Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management in a classroom and dance studio.
- Provide support and feedback to ensure successful completion of programs.
- Monitor, mark and conduct student assessments.
Is this you? Our Dance Trainer and Assessors must have the following key selection criteria:
- A strong passion for the Dance Industry.
- Ability and interest in teaching others about the Dance Industry and dance technique.
- Experience in Teaching or Lecturing is essential.
- Confidence and motivation to deliver excellent teaching (i.e. face to face).
- Demonstrated sensitivity to students of different cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A high level of attention to quality and detail.
- Commitment, flexibility, initiative and the ability to work as part of a growing team.
- A Bachelor Degree or Diploma in the field of dance (or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience and knowledge).
- Minimum of 2 years industry/professional experience.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), or be willing to complete prior to start date.
- Must have HLTAID003 Apply First Aid. HLTAID006 Provide Advanced First Aid is desirable.
- Demonstrate excellence in teaching dance in either a Secondary School or Dance studio.
- Language, Literacy and Numeracy level that is appropriate to teach others.
- Must have a strong understanding of learning theory, particularly with course delivery for adults and higher education.
- Extensive recent and relevant experience is required in the areas of: Performance Management, OHS, Dance Fitness and Physiology, Dance styles (Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, Tap, and Character), Small Business skills for Dance Teachers, and dance teaching methods for children and adolescents.
