INITIAL 6 MONTH CONTRACT
New Leaf Early Learning Centre has established a strong reputation in providing quality childcare and early learning on the picturesque Sunshine Coast for 10 years. Building on this success, New Leaf built a new purpose built state-of-the art childcare centre in Alexandra Headland. Catering for children from 6 weeks to school-age, this 147 place centre has been in operation since January 2016.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, passionate, dynamic and professional Centre Manager/Nominated Supervisor with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, to lead our team and further develop and grow the Centre at Alexandra Headland. The successful candidate must have a strong service ethic who can lead, drive and maintain a place of learning and adventure whilst providing a nurturing environment for the children in our care.
This is a full-time 6 month contract position to commence from August 2018 offering an attractive remuneration package, excellent working conditions and professional development opportunities.
Essential Criteria:
- Applicants must hold a Diploma in Children's Services or Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), and/or studying towards a Bachelor Degree in Education or other relevant qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Current Working with Children Check
- Strong understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG)
- Proven record of effective team leadership by supporting educators in the delivery of an exceptional program
- Maintaining effective communication with families, staff, outside organisations and the wider community
- Enrolment Management – increasing and maintaining good occupancy levels
- Innovative ideas to promote the Centre to new families and the wider community
- Experience with Assessment and Rating
- Excellent computer skills
- Extensive knowledge of QikKids or similar would be advantageous
- Proven track record in the management of budgets, rosters and policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to learn and willingness to undertake ongoing training
- Anaphylaxis/ Asthma/ CPR and First Aid Certificates
- Bright, friendly and energetic
