The Educator Support Co-ordinator position is a dynamic and varied role supporting our team of Family Day Care Educators. The major function of this role is to provide support, mentoring and resources to educators during face to face visits to their care premises. This position also requires the successful applicant to undertake a monitoring role, ensuring educators are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
Other responsibilities of the Educator Support Co-ordinator include:
- Annual re-registration and risk assessment of educators.
- Contribute to the services Quality Improvement Plan.
- Assistance with orientation and training of new educators.
- Facilitation of play sessions as required.
Working independently throughout the community, the Educator Support Co-ordinator must have a flexible attitude, be able to take initiative and make decisions with discretion and sound judgement in line with service policies. The Educator Support Co-ordinator requires excellent time management skills, a high level of attention to detail and must provide exceptional follow up to educators and other staff.
The role of Educator Support Co-ordinator has a strong focus on customer service with the incumbent requiring outstanding interpersonal skills in order to develop and cultivate positive, effective relationships with educators, children, families and other staff.
Essential Requirements: Applicants must hold an ACECQA approved diploma qualification and have a Working with Vulnerable People Check from the Department of Justice. Applicants must also have a thorough working knowledge of the NQF (including extensive experience with the EYLF).
