Best Bar is seeking an experienced, passionate and hands-on HSE Coordinator to support the development and implementation of the Corporate HSE Management System, including HSE policies, standards and procedures and to ensure that all the Victorian / South Australian sites are meeting their legal compliance obligations.
Key Responsibilities of this role will also include but not limited to:-
- Drive the implementation and monitoring of HSE Management System
- Facilitate a consistent approach to risk management activities , develop safe operating procedures and work instructions
- Schedule and conduct toolbox talks and materials for communication with employees and management.
- Contribute to the development of a WHS culture that promotes the well-being of all staff.
- Maintain, update and manage emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
- Manage Workers' Compensation claims and injury management processes.
- Investigate all incidents , conduct root cause analysis, document safety alerts, and communications
- Lead or support HSE Committees as required.
- Manage site inductions through Skytrust.
- Manage training evaluations using the support of Skytrust.
- Participate in internal and support external HSE audit programs.
- Contribute toward maintaining external accreditation.
Desirable skills:-
- Sound knowledge of steel/building industry.
- First Aid accreditation desirable.
- Completed RTW Coordinator course.
- Auditing Qualification.
- Cert IV or Diploma in Competitive Systems and Practices / Manufacturing.
- Exposure to heavy industrial, manufacturing, machinery environments.
- Mechanical aptitude.
To be considered for this position, you will possess the following:-
- Minimum 2-3 years of OH&S experience.
- Certificate IV qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training. (Including upgrade)
- Demonstrated working knowledge of WHS legislation and related Codes of Practice
- Experience in undertaking audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HSE Management System.
- Knowledge of Australian and International accreditation standards ISO9001:2015, AS/NZS 4671, AS 3600, AS/NZS ISO 18001, AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004
- Proven history of activities that achieve team, business and customer satisfaction.
- Intermediate computer skills, with a proficiency in Outlook, Excel and Word
- Sound analytical and interpretive skills.
- Current driver licence
