To generate real value to the Kmart Supply Chain we have a number of significant Sorter projects that contributes to improving; productivity, data integrity and safety all whilst maintaining a focus on reducing costs through the use of technology and process improvements. We are now seeking an experienced Project and Innovation Manager to lead the innovation to our supply chain and the I.T. teams and validate hardware and processes under consideration (proof of concept).

Overall responsibilities of role will include the following;

  • Seeking innovative solutions that delivers improved business performance within Kmart’s supply chain network
  • Developing new technology that can be the key enabler that drivers business performance
  • Manage outcomes on projects to ensure they are delivered to agreed benefits, quality standards, timelines and budget
  • Manage effectively the business impacts resulting from project and new innovation. Ensure stakeholders are engaged and providing support as required

To be successful in securing this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experience;

  • Warehousing, Supply Chain. DC Operational or Manufacturing background
  • Tertiary education in relevant supply chain or IT areas (preferred)
  • Formal understanding of LEAN methodology
  • Experienced with the a cross belt sorter operation
  • Experienced with automation technology
  • Experienced in managing and delivering on projects that have focused on continuous improvement, supplier management and the end to end supply chain
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, Optimisation and Lean experience
  • Proven experience in delivering successful outcomes and managing business project and change initiatives
  • High level organisational and planning skills
  • Proven track record of building, leading, coaching and motivating team
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders
  • Experienced in issue resolution and negotiation to drive positive outcomes
