Description
The Demand & Distribution Manager will be tasked with ensuring all forecasting and replenishment targets are achieved in line with business wide strategies. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain the Demand & Distribution Manager will have business wide exposure with senior leadership team and progression opportunities.
- Manage a S&OP process to align all services on sales forecasts, financial plan and launch plans
- Validate quantities proposed by Category Team for new brands / launches in accordance with commercial targets and financial planning
- Actively communicate situation on slow moving products / discontinued products and validates actions plans to reduce inventory and to ensure minimal ageing stock
- Conduct regular reviews with key brands to review the service rate and implement improvement plans.
- Validate demand Planners forecasts for Saleable goods and store supplies, integrating commercial targets, store openings, launch plans, events & animations and products life cycle.
- Provide guidelines to planners about stock levels in DC and in stores, allowing them to convert forecasts into supply needs to deliver the targets for service levels and stocks.
- Directly develop analyses to improve performance, processes and methods.
- Define action plans and monitor their execution.
- Recruit, motivate, train and develop team members to ensure they reach their potential
Profile
- 5+ years of experience in a Supply Chain Function, ideally in retail or multi -brands environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management or Supply Chain.
- Able to work across functional areas and levels of the organisation and to interact at distance
- Listen well to others (empathy), client-centric (commercial mindset)
- Strong verbal and written communication: ability to simplify, synthesise and convince
- Ability to analyse, draw conclusions, and execute appropriate actions in response to data
- Advanced Excel capabilities required
- SAP system experience preferred
