About the role

The Supply & Logistics Manager will be responsible for building relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers, distributors and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).

This role includes two facets, logistics management including distribution and stock management and supply chain management including supplier's management and purchasing.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Logistics management tasks will included:

o Develop and maintain logistics process and associated form, work instruction and procedures
o Stock management, inventory, stocktaking, receipts, shipments and deliveries of spare parts and products
o Ensure sufficient level of supply is made available to maintenance support team and workshops
o Manage distribution activities
o Ensure sufficient level of supply is made available to maintenance support team and workshops
o Generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective
o Manage Contractor Managed Commonwealth Asset (CMCA) as per requirements
o Disposal plan management
o Inventory Database (internal/external) management and update
o Maintain detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective
o Management of logistics requirements (ITAR, Security), import/export agreements and incoterms

 

The Supply Chain management tasks will included:
o Develop and maintain a supply support plan
o Measure and monitor supplier performance
o Maintain risk & opportunities register
o Assist in developing Australian Industry Capability plan to provide solutions in enabling local supply chain network
o Assist in developing/maintaining Intellectual Property management
o Meet regularly with the Program Manager, Operations Manager and the Engineering manager for Program advancement reviews

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field or proven extensive experience in supply chain management
  • Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain, from product development to the shipment of finished items
  • Understanding of accounting or finance
  • Must be able to comprehend legal documents
  • Experience processes under Quality Standards AS/NZS9001, AS/NZS9110, and AS/NZS14001 framework

Can demonstrate:

  • Must be able to attain Australian Defence Security clearance to NV1
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to plan, monitor and control projects
  • French speaker would be advantageous
