Continued positive business performance and growth, has presented an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Operations & Business Strategy Manager to join the team.
This position is a key appointment that will help drive the strategic direction, cultural journey and continued growth of the business within the Sheet Metal Industry.
Successful Candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and be an integral member of the senior management team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
The role is responsible for the entire manufacturing operation. This includes the Production, Logistics and Internal Sales Divisions.
Key Responsibilities;
Lead and promote a safety first culture. Maintain, implement and continually improve Safety Policies and Procedures
Continually review manufacturing operating processes in line with Company Mission and Objectives. Implement appropriate strategies and sustainable changes in standardised process to ensure manufacturing best practice.
Performance manage and develop team members to meet and exceed company objectives, obligations and expectations. Manage current and future labour planning to optimise efficiency and effectiveness in order to meet the needs of the business.
Accountable for developing and managing manufacturing budgets and reporting operational performance on a daily/weekly/monthly basis based on set budgets and KPIs
Strong Strategic involvement in future Business Planning for sustained profitability and growth. Continue to drive quality excellence and providing superior customer service.
Skills and experience
To be considered for this role you will need to have the following qualifications & experience:
Post graduate qualification in Engineering or a related discipline
Significant practical experience and proven ability in Operational Management and growing & scaling a business to meet company objectives.
Commercially astute, with ability to manage operational budgets and finances. Make and implement commercial decisions across all areas of business and manage the change
Strong Organisational and time management skills in a fast paced environment
Exemplary leadership, communication and people skills. Able to engage, coach and develop team members at all levels to drive high performance in line with Company Objectives.
Proven background and experience in manufacturing processes. Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and ability to implement and maintain sustainable change.
Standardised Process and Continuous Improvement mindset
Sound knowledge of Victorian OH&S Laws & Obligations
