THE ROLE

• Work in accordance with the Downer values and demonstrate commitment, active involvement and leadership regarding Zero Harm, client, people and financial accountabilities
• Analyse demand and supply data to produce inventory and freight profiles
• Analyse and advise options for improvement along the supply chain continuum - from business need to fulfilment – that can enhance stock availability and working capital outcomes
• Interrogate inventory holding locations and provide options that enhance working capital outcomes
• Interrogate freight profiles to produce options to optimise freight lanes and freight usage
• Model freight movements and INCOTERMS to produce options and solutions for input into commercial outcomes with suppliers and customers
• Analyse inventory categorisation and map to supplier profiles to identify patterns, anomalies, exceptions and opportunities
• Construct sensitivity analysis models for inventory and freight across the MEI Division
• Work with the Category Management department within the MEI Supply function to provide analytical support to assist in shaping commercial outcomes

ABOUT YOU

• Degree Qualified in Economic, data science, finance or supply chain discipline
• Trained in advanced modelling software and/or SQL
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices including standardised formula and calculations and how they are applied in practice
• Above average people engagement
• Analytical capability to interrogate and analyse inventory data (demand and supply) and advise inventory holding profiles that meet the business need
• Analytical capability to interrogate and analyse inventory data (demand and supply) and advise optimisation options
• Advanced MS Excel
• Analytical model construction and sensitivity analysis
• Strong ability to set and meet deadlines and manage personal workload
