Nu-Line Windows is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Estimator. The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills, be able to follow instructions, plan and priorities workloads, work well autonomously and in a team environment, use initiative and have a positive attitude. There is room to grow within the company to junior project manager.
We prefer a full time employee but are flexible.
Key responsibilities include:
- Through liaising with both our staff and our clients, be able to accurately read drawings, enter windows into our estimating software program (V6), account for the costs involved in successfully completing potential projects and be able to produce clear and concise quotations using our estimating procedures.
- Ensure the quotes are done in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Following up on quotes and liaise with clients.
- Eventually, project manage smaller jobs when required.
Selection criteria:
- No experience in estimating is required - We use an estimating program know as V6 which we will intensively train you on over a two-week period and then as required afterwards.
- Ability to accurately read off building plans, schedules and interpret customer requirements
- Professional presentation, good phone and customer skills, friendly and courteous personality and have a positive attitude
- Have great attention to detail
- Minimum education level required – undergraduate degree. Background in architecture preferred, but not essential. Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
- Ability of applicant to take direction when required and work well as a member of our team.
