Our client is looking for experienced factory labourers, forklift drivers and machine operators to work in a manufacturing and distribution environment.
Machine Operators and forklift drivers will also be required to undertake general labouring duties on a regular basis.
You will need to be physically suited for bending, twisting and lifting as required.
Every few weeks there is a clean up of the factory floor, which gets very dirty.
The factory and warehouse is in a shed and does not have air conditioning. So it can get hot in summer and cold in winter. You will require your own transport to get to work because there is no public transport nearby. A current valid forklift ticket is an advantage for the labouring roles, but not essential.
There is an opportunity for full time employment with the host employer for those who can prove that they have what it takes.
You will be rewarded with very attractive full time pay rates with overtime.
There will also be drug and alcohol testing for those who are successfully shortlisted. You will need to pass this test to be considered for the role.
The standard working week for general labourers and trainee machine operators/forklift drivers is Monday to Friday from 6am to 2.30pm. On occasion you may be asked to work overtime up to an extra 4 hours a day, as well as on weekends.
If things work out well, then you may be placed on a 4 days on (2 x 12 hour day shifts then 2 x 12 hour night shifts), 4 days off roster. There may be over time available as well. That means that you will be required to work on some weekends and public holidays.
