The Opportunity

We currently have a role available for an Assistant Warehouse Manager - Inbound to work at our St Mary’s site. 

As a valued member of our warehouse team you will be required to manage the hourly personnel in the processes of safely receiving including repackaging our parts on time ready to pick for our CNH dealer network and Depot Network. As an Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will manage Warehouse Operators, Leading Hands and Supervisors.

Scope of our operation and team size

• Number of part numbers – approx. 200,000
• Storage locations on site – 220,000 plus
• Site size – approx. 40,000 sqm includes 2 sheds and a yard
• Multiple shifts
• Warehouse Team size – 100-150 plus employees based on season
• Approximately 50 containers per month, plus LCL, air freight & local delivers 1,500-2,000 per month

  The Responsibilities

• Utilize personnel and equipment provided as efficiently and safely as possible to ensure all receipts, packaging and shipping orders are completed on time
• Plan, assign and supervise daily work assignments and OT rosters
• Conduct daily communication meetings with employees including training staff on processes
• Maintain productivity & quality levels as set by Warehouse Operations Manager
• Create and enforce a safe working environment and comply with inventory and safety audits
• Create/Maintain an environment where employees are motivated to take ownership of responsibilities to increase productivity
• Continuously look for areas to reduce warehouse backorders and quality errors while reducing costs
• May include other tasks/duties assigned by the Warehouse Operations Manager

  The Requirements

  As the successful candidate, you will have previous 5 years plus warehouse experience, strong analytical, investigative and critical thinking skills required to assess trends and changes in day-to-day business.

  Six-Sigma / Lean experience would be desirable.

  As part of our process candidates may be asked to undergo a pre-employment medical - including a Drug and Alcohol screen
