We have an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our high paced and high-volume warehouse operations located in Melbourne's South-East. The position requires a "hands-on" approach in leading a dedicated team to co-ordinate all receiving, storage and despatch activities.
This is a permanent full-time role, which requires a warehouse specialist with outstanding leadership and strong interpersonal skills, coupled with strong Inventory control disciplines. Ideally, you will have worked in a Management role in warehousing for at least three years and have a strong customer focus and attention to detail. You will be a positive "can do" leader who leads a team by example, and is always looking for ways to improve operational efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities include: -
- Co-ordinate & plan all activities within the warehouse
- Lead the warehouse team in servicing internal & external customers
- Liaise/communicate with all business stakeholders to ensure efficient product & information flows
- Manage & direct warehouse operations to deliver operational excellence
- Implement and maintain cycle count strategy to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Inventory management & control to ensure accuracy in identification, documentation, quantity & quality.
- Accountable to achieve and improve warehouse KPI's – accuracy, damage, productivity, etc.
- OH&S and Statutory compliance
Skills & Experience include: -
- Proven warehouse experience as a Team Leader
- Demonstrable knowledge of efficient and effective warehouse operations
- Ability to lead a team which maintains Inventory accuracy, and delivers measurable results.
- A strong attention to detail that will influence all aspects of warehouse operations
- Medium level computer skills including Microsoft Office & ERP systems (WMS is critical)
- Excellent time management and situational awareness skills
- Strong communications skills – written & verbal
- A self-motivated, autonomous individual with a strong and positive work ethic
