MAXAM has the opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Assistant based at our Head Office located in Brisbane CBD. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Supply Chain Assistant will work alongside the Supply Chain team to provide support to MAXAM's operating sites in Australia and PNG.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Scheduling of transportation for deliveries of product nationally
- Working with managers to determine product forecast for delivery
- Monitor supplier performance and relationships
- Assist logistics manager with import of international raw materials
- Liaise with manufacturing plants to communicate demand for raw products
- Enter and manage data in Oracle system relating to logistics
- Assist with monthly reporting
- Ensure compliance with legislation for transportation of goods
- Various administration duties
Your Background & Experience:
It is essential that you have experience in heavy transport and logistics. You must be highly organised and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and carry out tasks with minimal supervision. Applicants with experience within the Explosives, Mining or Construction industries will be looked upon favourably.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination (including drug screen) and a national police clearance.
