Carpentaria Contracting are seeking 2 x WEIPA based Operations Supervisor / Estimator with relevant trade qualifications to oversee their trade, constructions & equipment hire operations.
Carpentaria Contracting are looking for a multi skilled supervisor that can handle different trades, clients and equipment requirements at once. The roles that require supervising include cranes, deliveries, mechanical, tree works and garden maintenance, plumbing, building and equipment hire.
This position will include but is not limited to:
• Must have a trade or construction industry background. (Required)
• Estimating & quoting of multifaceted jobs
• Organise Labour & Equipment
• Liaise with clients and suppliers.
• Complete service reports and Progress Claims
• Maintain & improve safety and quality systems
• Desirable to have HRWL tickets such as Crane, EWP, Rigger, HC/HR etc. 
Applicants will require the following:
• Manual Driver's Licence. (Required)
• Previous experience in supervising / management is essential 
• Demonstrated Leadership qualities.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Must be able to motivate staff and supervise 
• A drive to deliver high quality service.
• Computer skills in Microsoft packages and outlook. (Essential) 
Local applicants are highly desired and encouraged to apply. Applicants external to the FNQ area must be willing to relocate to Weipa. This is NOT a FIFO position.
The successful applicant must be willing to undergo Pre – Employment Drug and Alcohol test. A probation period of 12 weeks will apply.
