About the business

As a turnkey construction company, we provide pre-construction assistance, project schedule development as well as construction management services.
About the role
Day to day some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the drafting, designing, and detailing of various projects, coordinating with the project manager, detail fabrications, steel erector, miscellaneous and trimming metals, assist project managers with design specifications.
- Knowledge and understanding of engineering of simple connection design to produces clear, concise and
- complete drawings and bill of material for shop fabrication with all information needed for the checker, fabricator and erector.
- Generate shop bill of material and prepare shop job package
- Assist in the preparation of a list of materials to be purchased for the project and providing the
- information required for entry into the relevant data system.
- Responsible for the generation and tracking of RFI's, issuing drawings for approval and fabrication as well as answering internal and external questions on assigned projects.
- Responsible for working to Steel & drafting standards, ensuring conformity and adherence
- Working knowledge of AS/NZS1170, AS/NZS2312 & AS4100

Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following requirements:
- 3+ years' experience in professional steel detailing environment
- Experience preparing accurate and clear drawings, from concept to construction drawings
- 3D steel modelling software experience, Revit skills will be an advantage
- Relevant Engineering qualifications (preferred)
