The Opportunity:

Our meat industry partner is looking for a highly experienced candidate to run the entire QA Division for their business. To be successful in this role, you’ll have an extensive meat processing background in quality assurance at the highest level. You’ll have worked with food service meat products, as well as in a boning room environment.

The Position:

  • You’ll report to the onsite General Manager.
  • Developing, Organising and maintaining a Quality Management System; reviewing documents and communicating potential risk to senior management;
  • Assisting in setting and achieving the agreed technical budget;
  • Directing the planning and implementing of the Quality Assurance audit program for the company;
  • Monitoring products and ensuring correct and safe practices are being undertaken;
  • Working with the Operations, Warehouse and Distribution team to achieve all food safety and quality standards are maintained through conducting on the job training for all teams;
  • Driving and leading to reduce the non-compliance numbers down for the business;
  • Conduct Hygiene Audits, through reviewing product quality by conducting random checks on our production, product and general quality on the production line;
  • Prepare the business to an export standard to allow the exporting of products into overseas markets, especially local customers with international locations;
  • Review and develop company processes to provide premium customer service whilst ensuring productivity and financial objectives are also achieved;



The Candidate:

  • A demonstrated senior background in quality assurance within the meat industry is essential. As well as managing a site;
  • Proven background and understanding of regulatory standards HACCP, Food Safe and Ausmet Accreditation.
  • A multitasker who handles pressure of variable workloads well, including all practical and administration duties;
  • Experience in Work, Health & Safety (WH&S) and Environmental systems in the workplace and experience in dealing with customer complaints and conflict resolution;
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • A proven track record understanding quality systems and meat production systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications style;
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.



The Offer:

On offer is an attractive salary package commensurate to your background and experience. Salary will be commensurate to your skillset up to $85,000 plus superannuation.
