Role
We’re searching for our next State Manager to lead the Austral Precast® team located in Maddington. Reporting to the General Manager, your role will have full profit and loss accountability for the WA division. Your main areas of focus will be around leading an engaged and high performing team culture, strategy formulation and execution, new business development opportunities, business and asset optimisation initiatives, revenue growth and cost management.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Lead the team of employees covering the functions of sales, production, operations, project management, drafting, logistics, HSEQ and administration. Develop the strategy and vision for the team, set the targets and objectives, live the Brickworks values and develop and maintain a collaborative and engaged team culture;
• Develop deep connections with clients and an understanding of their individual businesses and needs in order to lead the team in delivering the best customer experience;
• Understand Austral Precast competitive advantages and differentiation strategies and continually lead the business to own the space in the market covering these areas;
• Manage the day to day activities of the sales, production and operations teams in order to implement the organisations overall strategy within the designated state;
• Monitor sales, production and installation volumes, revenues and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas, allocate resources and determine priorities to improve the overall performance of the sales team;
• Lead the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing and distribution strategies for WA;
• Oversee all quoting activities and support the Sales Team in selling and negotiating where needed;
• Oversee all production activities and support the Production Manager in achieving production targets whilst maintaining the highest possible product quality standards;
• Oversee the Project Management team to manage the relationship with clients from the point of project award all the way through until practical completion;
• Continually identify areas of risk (e.g. safety, commercial, contractual, strategic, etc.) within all aspects of the business and its activities and develop strategies to assess and mitigate;
• Work with industry bodies, design and development teams, existing and potential customers to develop and grow market share; and
• Collaborate across resources, knowledge sharing and strategic initiatives with the national and interstate Austral Precast teams.

Success Requirements
• Previous experience in manufacturing, construction and/or sales.
• Demonstrated experience in managing people including leading, directing, evaluating and developing a team.
• Demonstrated experience in Strategic Planning.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Strong project and contract management skills.
• Ability to motivate and drive your team.
• Demonstrated business and/or sales and marketing experience.
• Ability to deliver results.
• Ability to quickly evaluate high volumes of information and details.
