Let me introduce ourselves. We're Elexon and we're an innovation company. We develop and manufacture innovative and niche electronic products. We seem to be pretty good at it, because we export to countries all around the world, and we're growing. We're competitive because we strongly believe in automation. We have an advanced in-line Surface Mount Line, a Wave Soldering Machine and a conformal coating robot. We use Automated Test Equipment (ATE) wherever feasible, and we track all products during production by barcode. We're passionate about Lean Manufacturing. We need a couple of Electronics Assemblers & maybe even a Stores Assistant (except we have high standards & are quite picky).
You must be very quality-focussed: not only happy to follow procedures, but you must want to improve our procedures to make us better every day.
What's most important is that you're efficient and quick. We don't need talkers. We need doers; people who "get stuff done". If you always seem to be quicker than everyone around you, regardless of what you're doing, please apply. Whether you're male or female makes absolutely no difference in this role, hence about half our production team is female. We all get along very well amongst Production & Admin staff so if you cannot play nicely & leave the politics at home then this may not be the role for you.
