As a member of Lantrak's dynamic Operations team our Project Managers will be responsible for all on the ground job management and provide support to our valued subcontractor network. Your active presence on site will complement your practical approach and knowledge of the environment. Your involvement in each project will allow you to understand the challenges, problems and strengths of each project. This role will allow you to use your knowledge of the industry "off the tools" and will still allow you the opportunity to be a part of what you love most.

We are proud to utilize a solely sub-contracted fleet of operators and drivers, and therefore having the ability to build and maintain positive relationships will be key to success in this role. You will split yourself between live projects on site and working within our brand new, state of the art office.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  • Understand the material utilized on each job and it's strengths and weaknesses
  • Ability to spot changing material types and problem solve alternative solutions
  • Assist with the allocation of trucks on projects
  • Assist with the recruitment of new contractors to join our subcontractor network
  • Time truck runs and identify any access issues on sites
  • Ability to estimate the amount of cartage required for given material
  • Strong communication with all site foreman and stakeholders involved in each project
  • Effectively communicate with the Operations team regarding rates or job requirement changes
  • Complete understanding of each projects requirements and ensure the job runs to expectation

The ideal candidate will also have the following:

  • Positive "can-do" attitude
  • Be practically minded and understand and problem solve at the cold face of projects
  • Professional phone manner with the ability to build report
  • Ability to liase with individuals at all levels of the business
  • Prior experience working within a civil construction or earthmoving capacity will be highly regarded.
  • Be motivated to work as a member of a high performing team

    The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience working around materials. You may have a background operating plant / trucks, spent time administering the weighbridge or have spent time as a site supervisor or foreman.
