About the role
AWX are seeking experienced Factory labourers for a fast-paced manufacturing plant based on the Gold Coast.
We can offer day shift or night shift with the opportunity to secure ongoing work, as well as ad-hoc occasional shifts.
Your role will include, but not be limited to--
This position is primarily responsible for the stacking and packing of product weighing up to 25kgs onto pallets and into boxes ready for dispatch. A current forklift and confident driving abilities are required to be considered for this role.
- Producing quality products and ensuring minimal production time & wastage
- Stacking, packing, boxing and moving of stock to designated areas
- Cleaning and maintaining of machinery
- Completing of batch documentation and in process quality checks
- Maintain safety policies and procedures
- Ensure product is packed from their production line in a timely and efficient manner It is essential that you have prior experience working in a fast-moving manufacturing facility and have a background which involves heavy repetitive lifting.
You will also have the following:
Skills & Experience
- Current forklift ticket and a good level of competency
- Solid numeracy and literacy capabilities, stable working history and good work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Checkable work references
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to achieve tight deadlines
- Maintain the highest safety standards in the work place
- Written and verbal English skills are essential and full Australian work rights
- Must be physically fit and comfortable lifting 20-25 kilos
