An exciting opportunity is now available for a Supply Chain Specialist to join our team at Techport, SA..

The Supply Chain Specialist controls the flow of goods, services, and information from origin through delivery in order to meet Program requirements. This role is responsible for input to logistics support strategies in capture phase pertinent to function and/or logistics specialty. The Supply Chain Specialist Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics support processes, such as inventory management, repairable item management, replenishment, demand management, warehouse operations, records management, distribution and related functions, Works to achieve operational targets within job area with direct impact on program results. An extensive knowledge of operational systems and practice obtained through tertiary qualifications and experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Making adjustments or recommending enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of Supply Chain support
• Set objectives to meet goals for project activities such as Supply support design, planning and analysis for warehousing, inventory management and freight & distribution applications,
• Maintain data integrity of Raytheon Australia (RA) inventory management systems & logistic databases in support of program requirements
• Inventory management and spares modelling, provisioning and replenishment forecasts & reporting
• Warehouse and Stores management including storage, stock control, accounting, packaging, handling and transportation of items of supply
• Production planning & restocking scheduling for repairable items and other rotable items of supply
• Materiel Management planning, development & execution of program stock accounting, stocktakes, discrepancy reconciliation and reporting

Skills Experience and Qualifications

• The Supply Chain Specialist will have knowledge in the practical application of Warehousing, Inventory and Freight & Distribution operational logistics systems and a thorough understanding of Raytheon procedures in the following Repair and maintenance control for technical items of supply, Standard parts & supplier procedures, Warehousing procedures including storage, stock control, accounting, packaging, handling and transportation of items of supply, Inventory management systems and procedures, Codification and cataloguing procedures including relevant standards, Freight & distribution procedures
• Well-developed cognitive, technical and communication skills to analyse and evaluate information, generate solutions to moderately complex problems, and transmit knowledge, skills and ideas to others
• Bachelor degree in Management, Logistics or Supply Chain
• Minimum 2 years related experience
• Understanding and application of Warehousing, Inventory and Freight & Distribution operational logistics systems
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Australian Defence Security Clearance
