The role of Food & Bev QA Associate shall implement necessary responsibilities to ensure that production activities comply with Company policy, Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, HACCP requirements and the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice. This position reports directly to the QA & Compliance Manager.
Required qualifications: Degree in food science or similar with HACCP and food safety training.
- Liaise with Management team to achieve quality goals.
- When required liaise with the customers, managers, purchasing and planners, for technical matters.
- Responsible to respond to management on customers’ complaints and non-conforming product.
- Maintain the sites Food Safety and Quality Plan, this includes HACCP plans, policies, procedure, work instruction, records and prerequisite programs.
- Maintain the sites quality system to meet the requirements of the NSW Food Authority and the FSCC Standards for Food Safety.
- Mange the Quality System so that products meet food safety, quality, regulatory and customer requirements.
- Communicate Requirements of the Quality System to relevant staff.
- Conduct internal and 2nd party audits as necessary.
- Assist 3rd Party auditor and customers in the auditing of the site.
- Where required assist management or safety committee to enable compliance with any requirements under OHS Act.
- Initiate training for QA and operations personnel when necessary.
- Sign Transfer certificates and Declarations of Compliance for export products when required
- Review new product dossier for all new products, including approved formulations, batch documents, BOM’s, packaging specifications, stability results, bulk specifications.
- Review the approved artwork drafts as necessary
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Degree in food science or similar with HACCP and food safety training.
FMCG/ Fast paced environment experience is considered a bonus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to implement procedures and corrective actions
Outstanding time management skills.
Commitment to continual improvement
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and general computer literacy
