Our client is the largest independently-owned courier, express freight and specialised logistics company in Australia with a comprehensive range of fast, efficient express freight transport and logistical services providing an integrated solution for even the biggest clients.

• AM Shifts
• Working with 12 sub contractors
• Managing 8-9 staff 

Role:
As a Warehouse Supervisor you will effectively manage and organise the transport of customer’s products to stores, depots and warehouses ensuring that the site is run economically and that activities are performed safely, accurately and in accordance with company and customer requirements.

This role is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday. Other duties may include:

• Managing the day to day running of the warehouse
• Supervise and run the dispatch activities and team
• Oversee the general dispatch operations of the interstate depots
• Prepare and undertake performance appraisals
• Coordinate and plan delivery schedules, including trucks, load sequences, reporting discrepancies
• Oversee internal transfers of stock, identify materials to be transferred, accuracy of loads, and create manifests
• Ensure WHS requirements are adhered to and maintained
• Build and maintain relationships with freight companies

Candidate Traits:  

• Demonstrated Warehouse operations, distribution and/or manufacturing experience preferably in a Team Leader/Supervisor role
• A solid commitment to driving safety and performance is key
• MUST HAVE FORKLIFT LICENSE 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to organise, manage and control workflow
• Attention to detail and customer focused
• Physically able to perform manual handling duties
• Willingness to listen and learn and have a positive 'can do' attitude
• Excellent computer skills
