Technical Workshop Manager
Blastcoat Industrial Coatings are seeking the services of an experienced Technical Workshop Manager. The successful applicant will be responsible for the supervisory requirements in the workshop area including stock ordering, Loading/Unloading, Blasting & Painting. This role has a high level of written QA requirements combined with reporting directly to the GM on a daily/weekly basis. It is a requirement the successful applicant has wide experience in the Blasting & Industrial coatings industry with a strong aptitude for estimating both from plans & visual.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Effectively manage the daily operations of the workshop
- Estimating- providing accurate pricing for projects both large & small
- Monitoring & supervision of all workshop employees
- Control of all QA requirements/reporting
- Leading and mentoring the workforce, promoting clear lines of communication with a positive approach to build accountability and workforce engagement.
- Reporting on daily WHS requirements with a high focus on Safety & employee welfare
- Ensuring products are delivered on time and at the highest level of quality possible
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels
Essential Criteria:
- Extensive experience in industrial blasting and spray painting industries as a manager, floor manager and or estimator
- NACE Level 1 or 2 preferred
- Direct experience reporting WHS and QA requirements
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to implement an immediate& proactive service regime on all workshop tooling including the blast chamber
