The role: You will be responsible for delivering audits relating to road transport compliance including auditing third party road transport subcontractors who service Toll in Australia within our Linehaul division.
You will positively engage and influence stakeholders including Operational management and third party subcontractors to deliver improved risk and compliance standards for Toll and Road Transport.



Key responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Independently reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management and internal controls associated with road transport.
  • Conducting and leading all aspects of internal audits across operational activities; from leading, planning/scoping, to the preparation and presentation of audit reports
  • Work with road transport sub-contractors to complete required audits - analyse the effectiveness of operational and compliance business processes, from a risk, control and compliance perspective
  • Prepare and present clear and accurate audit reports and finalise with Operational management and sub-contractors, in accordance with established timeframes
  • Work with Operational Management and sub-contractors to develop and finalise practical and commercially focused actions plans to improve controls, compliance processes, and operational efficiencies



To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in auditing and compliance methodologies
  • A background in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing or industrial environments would be highly regarded
  • Attention to detail to extract data and key evidence from auditing material
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong stakeholder management focus
  • Knowledge of transport legislative and regulatory requirements (NHVAS, COR etc)
