The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, passionate and dynamic Transport Supervisor to join our growing team in Dalby.

This role will ensure the completion of safe and timely deliveries in accordance with our clients demanding daily expectations. This is a fast paced and high performing environment, where you will think contingently and problem solve when routine changes. The role is a permanent position with a roster of 15 on 13 off.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate daily with D&C Coordinators to review the next day’s plans, review the tasking, and determine the safest and most efficient way to ensure D&C operations are carried out.
  • Undertake all aspects of loading and restraint of deliveries.
  • Assist with scheduling the fleet for the next day and communicating the next day’s plan to the transport team at the pre-start.
  • Enforce compliance for all Toll personnel with regard the IVMS system.
  • Manage the Toll Transport fleet vehicles in regard to daily operations.
  • Coordinate the loading & clearance of all freight from the Warehouse and suppliers by road transport.
  • Ensure that all Toll vehicles, comply with the Land Transport Procedures
  • Ensure that pre-start inspections of assets are undertaken at the start of each day in accordance with Group procedures.
  • Communicate with Infield Transport Manger to ensure that scheduled inspections of all Toll vehicles and equipment are carried out.
  • Conduct and maintain all transport Risk Assessments.

To be successful, you will have the following:

  • Previous experience in a transport environment and demonstrated ability in leading teams
  • Understand relevant Legislation i.e. Road Transport Act and Load Restraint Guideline, and oversee transport operations to achieve safe, productive results
    • Trained in Apply fatigue management strategies
    • Trained in Transport Schedulers & Managers
    • Trained in Load & Unload Goods.
  • Product knowledge, ideally with experience in the CSG gas industry, transport and logistics sector
  • Understanding of requirements of load restraint
  • Strong understanding, compliance and commitment to health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and regulations

The successful applicant will need to pass the medical requirements for this role and undertake relevant inductions.

It is a prerequisite for the preferred candidate for this role to undergo a criminal background check.
