Our Specialist branches contain a large variety of specific equipment to service our customer needs in Concrete Care, Pump & Power, Rail, Lift and shift or Traffic Management.

What can you expect as a Service Person/Driver at Rail?

As a Service Person/Driver, you can expect a diverse and fulfilling hands-on role!

You will be responsible for delivering the hire equipment to our clients, providing them with advice and representing the Kennards name through your great customer service. A driver’s licence is a must, and you will also have (or be willing to obtain) rail tickets since this role will allow you to spend time working on rail sites from time to time. Having an interest in rail would be considered an advantage.

You will enjoy working with your hands as you will service and maintain equipment to make sure it’s kept in top condition. Your good level of physical health will to allow you to handle the physical demands of the job (such a lifting and standing on your feet for long periods of time).

You will be willing to undertake a medical examination, as well as random drug and alcohol tests. Due to Rail accreditation requirements, you cannot be colour blind.

Flexible availability is desired as you will be on call when there are projects running. You may also need to work away from home from time to time while you are working on Rail sites.

To join our team, you will need to have :

• A Driver’s License, preferably manual
• Rail tickets including ARTC One Track, RISI and Pegasus (or be willing to obtain them)
• Experience in a customer service position
• Some computer skills
• An interest and knowledge in machinery and equipment, although training will be provided
• An appropriate level of physical fitness
• Above all, you will have a positive attitude, be proactive, and be a strong team player.

It will be a bonus if you have:

• A MR licence
• A forklift licence
• A crane licence
