OVERVIEW:
Empire Office Furniture is Queensland's leading Office Furniture Retailer. This role is based at our Rocklea DC where a fleet of 10 trucks and 40 staff service the furniture delivery and installation requirements of our clients.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for contacting consumers and customers to set-up deliveries, coordinating production schedules, developing truck routes and general customer service.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Run reports of orders available to be delivered
- Develop truck run schedules, optimised by geographic location and truck capacity.
- Contact customers via outbound calls and e-mails to confirm delivery date and any special conditions to be considered such as parking, access, stairs.
- Ensure all stock is received and ready for despatch.
- Release and Invoice out orders confirmed for delivery to be picked and staged for loading
- Create truck run sheets in Excel and attach customer invoices and any other relevant paperwork or instructions for delivery teams.
- Assist sales staff with scheduling, booking and ETA requests for deliveries.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Systems and Processes
- Excellent geographic knowledge of the greater Brisbane area.
- Excellent software skills, in particular Microsoft Excel & Google Maps
- Good Telephone manner
- Logistics coordination experience
- Customer Service Skills
- Office Admin experience
- In-House training provided
