McCain Foods at Lisarow are embarking on large scale technological improvements throughout the plant, which makes for a very exciting time to join our business as we go through cultural transformation. As a Leader you will be pivotal in supporting the plant and our employees through this change, keeping them motivated while also ensuring daily manufacturing of our iconic products is delivered to target in a safe manner while meeting quality standards
Your opportunity:
• Manage the day to day operations of the afternoon shift line to meet productivity target including the minimisation of downtime, waste and rework as well as addressing anomalies by root cause and direct cause and providing solutions and corrective actions.
• Coaching all employees in regards to following policies, procedures and standards of work in their daily activities (safety, quality and line checks).
• Demonstrate leadership in food safety by working in accordance with established food safety programs.
• Ensure compliance to HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices, allergen and sanitation/cleaning management protocols and policies.
• Identify cost saving/improvement opportunities both within line as well as within the plant
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of employee engagement through regular and consistent communication with team.
About you:
• A born influencer you will have excellent communication skills that can connect with colleagues at all levels.
• You will have a proven track record of delivering results and performance through collaboration and development of your team.
• This is a fast paced environment so it's essential you can think on your feet, respond to issues in a timely effective manner and be able to deal with multiple priorities.
Experience working in food manufacturing environment and using SAP will be highly regarded.
